Growth company advisor Tomas Therén joins Lyyti’s Board of Directors

Finland’s leading event management system provider, Lyyti, appointed Tomas Therén as a new member of its Board of Directors in November 2024. Representing the private equity firm Vaaka Partners on the board, Therén brings over 20 years of experience in business development.

Specialized in private equity, Tomas Therén currently serves on the boards of approximately 20 companies. He also oversees the operations of Vaaka Partners’ Stockholm office, which opened in September, and leads the company’s expansion into the Swedish market.

Therén sees significant growth potential in Lyyti.

Comprehensive background in business development

Tomas Therén holds an M.Sc. in Industrial Engineering and Management from Linköping University. He has also earned a Master’s degree in Law, a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, and a Master’s degree in Globalization, Environment, and Social Change.

Therén joined Vaaka Partners in September 2024 to lead the company’s expansion into the Swedish market. Before this, he had been a member of Vaaka Partners’ Board of Directors since 2022. With 25 years of experience in private equity, including 18 years at Procuritas, Therén primarily focuses on mid-sized companies. He also serves on the board of Almi AB, a Swedish government-owned company specializing in SMEs.
